Alleghany County
Alleghany County is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northwestern North Carolina. Alleghany County was formed out of Ashe County by an act of the 1858-1859 session of the North Carolina legislature. One of our goals is to preserve the qualities of our county while moving towards the future with technology and economic development. With our small-town charm and Southern atmosphere, Alleghany County is a great place to live, work and just enjoy life. Click here for video highlights.
